Is anyone interested in custom made dog houses?
DOG House-for dogs not husbands or ex bf
Dogs should live in the house, not outside in the dog house. See More
I am surprised that you have so few answers. Custom dog houses should be a very marketable item. The questions are: 1) Do you build ... See More
I had a doghouse custom-made for my 3 dogs, thinking they'd like to huddle together if it's cold b
They don't seem to ever use it! The doghouse is in case the weather turns nasty and I'm not home to let them inside. Typically, all 3 sleep on my bed with me (though the oldest, a female, will sometimes get off the bed to go to her private doggie bed). I had the dog house made big enough so all 3 can get inside at the same time. I've tried putting a favorite blanket inside. (They just pulled it out and dragged it around the yard.) I've put food and treats in the house. (They just go in long enough to get the food and then get out.). Should I just trust that they'll use it if they need it? ROTFLMAO! OMG, BYB's: Team Caius, ever get out much? But don't sweat it, the dogs are FINE even if I hadn't gotten them a doghouse. I'm in the desert in New Mexico not in Siberia; we rarely even get a sprinkling of snow and barely get any rain

ac unit... I want to put a window ac unit in my dog house?
Has anyone done this? I can't think of anything that would go wrong. I would use outside electrical cord of proper gauge. Protect it with conduit. Put the window ac unit in the custom window I will cut out in my dog house. build a cage so my dog can't get to the unit. (chicken wire or somthing) Possibly fix a breaker or fuse of some sorts just in case. Probably have to clean out dog hair daily from filter as not to plug it up with debrie and dog hair. Can this be done? Is there anything I'm not looking at? Am I going to kill myself or my dog? Also I was wondering if my 5000 btu unit would freeze up being a small dog house? It's way hot though and the dog house isn't very insulated. The door is just a clear vinyle flappy door. Thanks
This must be a joke. See More
Are you kidding? Putting a window ac in a doghouse would just waste electricity. Dog houses aren't insulated so the cold air will just go ... See More

Worried my dog could jump the fence!?
Hi well im getting a border collie pup soon and when it grows up were going to leave it in the backyard to sleep because weve got a nice big warm custom built dog house for him to stay in, But i was just worrying if me and my family had to go shopping or something for a couple of hours and we leave it in the backyard it could jump over the fence. (Apparently they can jump very high) Is there any solutions to this? Is it ok if i tie a rope to its collar thats long enough for him to go all around the backyard, which would provide him shade, food and water and entertainment (Toys)? And even if i do increase the size of the fence it could just dig under by the time we come back from the shops...

What's the easiest way to get my dog into China?
I'm planning on teaching English in China and I want to take my dog. Is it possible to bribe customs to bypass the quarantine period? Do apartments or houses in rural areas allow dogs? How much does it cost to fly the dog in? Please, no "they eat your dog in China" jokes. Grow up.

Does anyone know of any pet transport companies that can bring my dog from Heathrow Airport to my ho
I am going on holiday to Chicago and taking my Staffordshire bull Terrier with me. When I arrive back at Heathrow I was hoping to hire a company to pick up my dog from customs and bring her to my house. I have only found one and they cost 150 pounds! How/where can I build/buy a cheap exercise pen for a rabbit or dog?
I'm going to foster a rabbit from the Humane Society and they will provide me with a cage, but I need some sort of exercise pen so I can give it some unsupervised exercise and not worry about it chewing on all of my furniture or cords. I want to potentially just use it as a gate and block it in the kitchen (the only place with no carpet) initially until I make sure it is litter box trained and then let it loose in part of the house. Basically, I want something that will stand by itself but I can also change the shape. I want to use it as a gate to block off part of the room and as a closed pen. Anyone have any suggestions? Since I’m just fostering the bunny, I don’t want to buy an expensive puppy pen but I also don’t want something the bunny will chew through or end up eating and causing harmful side effects (I worry about cheap plastic). Anyone have any ideas on what will be flexible and inexpensive? I’m also not sure how large the bunny will be, so I need something that is probably at least 24” or 36” high. I’m completely clueless as to what I can use aside from buying a semi-expensive puppy pen. Let me know if you have any ideas! The cheaper (and simpler) the better.
Hello, I have never owned or lived with a rabbit before, but after doing some surfing the web, I don't think you can find a 'cheap' (as in ... See More
Questions about exercise pen for my dog?
I'm thinking of getting my dog an exercise pen for when I'm at work. My dog is a 4 pound chihuahua so he needs to run around instead of being in a crate. What size exercise pen should I get him? What could I put on the bottom to prevent him from causing "accidents" on my floor? Does anyone else do this?
YES, ex pens are great for daytime play use instead of the crate! First of all, I assume he is neutered? An intact male will mark his ... See More

How do I expand my dog kennel?
My dogs stay in a pen outside during the day while we're at work(long story, but they like to dig under the part of the fence that doesn't belong to us). I have equipped the pen with a wooden pallet for them to sun bathe on, water and food, sun shade, a grassy area and a dog house with plastic flaps. As my puppy is getting bigger, the pen is getting smaller! I need to buy a new, bigger pen, but I hate to just discard this one. It is 5 x 8. To put it together, you assemble the poles, then wrap the chain link around it and secure it. Is there something I can buy to expand this one? Does anyone have any experience with this? Any relatively inexpensive ideas? I have 2 cockers and a 7 month basset.
